Panicum virgatum 'Rubrum' - Red Switch Grass

Fine blue-foliaged clumps of arching leaves with maroon tips, flowering in autumn. Foliage turns bronze red then golden during winter. Leave seed heads to attract birds to the garden. A tough grass for a sunny spot and is also very dry tolerant. Fantastic for use in 'prairie style' or meadow gardens for a naturalistic feel. Cut back to 10-15cm late winter or early spring prior to new growth appearing. Around 1.5m tall. 150mm pot.
