Salix purpurea - 'Nancy Saunders' Willow

A compact, deciduous 'shrub' Willow. Narrow silvery blue-green leaves on red stems create a fantastic contrast.. Small fluffy, silvery catkins appear in late winter to early spring. For best results prune at ground level to produce multiple straight canes. Can be easily kept at a lower height by yearly coppicing.  Hardy. Full sun. Moist soil preferred.
